The support staff at Merrick Veterinary Group will strive to make your visit as enjoyable as possible for both you and your pet. Our staff is selected because of their genuine affection for animals and their interest in providing the best care possible. Our receptionists will do their best to accommodate your scheduling needs and answer your questions. Should your pet need treatment, hospitalization or surgery, our veterinary technicians will help perform diagnostic tests, administer medications, and provide compassionate care. During your pet's boarding or hospitalized stay, our kennel staff will provide both companionship and excellent care for your pet. Our hospital would not be able to run without the hard work and dedication of these individuals.

Darlene D. - Darlene has worked for Merrick Veterinary Group for almost 9 years. She provides compassionate medical care for our patients and hospitalized pets and is an asset to our team. She is married with 4 cats, 2 Golden Retrievers and 4 finches at home. When she is not working, Darlene enjoys training her dogs Dylan and Destiny for obedience, agility, and a bit of flyball. Destiny is also doing some photoshoots for catalogs and "acting" in television commercials - look for her new commercial for the Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair airing now!

Emily T. - Emily joined our team as our newest veterinary technician almost 2 years ago. She spends most of her time at the Roslyn Greenvale office, but can be found in Merrick on most Tuesdays. She has worked as a veterinary technician for the last 12 years and is very knowledgeable and has great technical skills. Emily has an African Grey Parrot named Bob, a Greyhound named Dorian Grey, and a cat named Jobu. When she is not working Emily is a news junkie that enjoys live music and going to Mets games.

Amy A. -  Amy has been one of our Roslyn Greenvale staff technicians for over 3 years, and has now joined the Merrick family 4 days a week. Amy began working in the animal field approximately 9 years ago when her career in the film industry didn't pan out the way she planned. When she is not at the hospital, Amy spends time at home worrying, recycling or trying to save the world a little. Amy started a very successful recycling program at our Greenvale hospital, and we recycle all of our plastic, cardboard and paper products!  Watch her recycling video here. She admires the work of Gandhi, David Lynch, and Dian Fossey. Amy has 4 dogs, 6 cats, 3 tortoises, a turtle and Twinkie (a Cockatoo).

Anita B. - Anita joined the staff at Roslyn Greenvale in March of 2009. In May of that year she transferred to the Merrick location and has been with us here ever since. Anita is married and has a full house. She has 3 daughters, 2 dogs - Abby-girl her Chin-Tsu and Sargent a German Shepherd, and a cat named Bosley. In her spare time Anita likes to go camping, fishing, bicycling and especially shopping! However, right now Anita spends most of her time traveling between colleges for her two oldest girls.

John B. - John has over 5 years of experience in the veterinary medical field and works as both a kennel attendant and a technician. He is completed his Associate's Degree at Nassau Community College and is currently attending Hofstra University as a Biology major. In the future John hopes to attend veterinary school. When he is not working John enjoys playing classical and electric guitar, and fishing.

Dylan G. - Dylan has been working as a member of our kennel team for the past 3 years. He does a great job taking care of our boarding patients and assisting wherever needed. He is currently attending Nassau Community College. In his spare time Dylan plays the drums and performs shows with his band. He has a German Shepherd named Tonka.

Donna F. - Donna is our full time kennel attendant and brings with her several years of experience (including spending a lot of time in our Roslyn Greenvale office). Shas a great love for all animals. Donna has several sweet Chihuahua's that range from 1.8 to 10 lb. She has 2 grown children and 1 grandson. When she is not working Donna enjoys bowling several times a week (ask her about her last 300 game!), going to the movies with her family, crocheting, knitting and needlepoint. Donna also cuts hair on the weekends.

Danny C. - Danny is the most recent addition to our kennel staff and has quickly learned how to do his job well. In his free time Danny plays drums for a rock band and tours all over the country performing in various shows.
